Pownce Invites to Give Away
What is Pownce? According to the website, it’s a way to send messages, files, links, and events to your friends. You’ll create a network of the people you know and then you can share stuff with all of them, just a few of them, or even just one other person really fast.
At the moment, the site is not fully opened to the public yet. Now, I’ve six invites to give away. I won’t make you jump through hoops to get one, although you can if you want to. Send me a video of you doing it and I’ll post it up. All right, invites. I’ll give them to the first six people to provide me with their email address. You can either leave a comment with your email or drop me an email at abouteverything[at]gmail(dot)com. If you spam me, I’ll k33l j00 d34d so don’t even think about it. If you’re really paranoid about your email address, here’s a top secret method you can try. Write down your email on a tiny piece of paper and somehow get it hidden in a new bag of flour. Now hope really hard that Krispy Kreme will pick up that bag to make their doughnuts and hope even harder that they’ll somehow decide to open a branch in Singapore. When they do, I may decide to buy a doughnut some day and discover your note with your email address and voila! Pownce invite for you! Bear in mind that this may end up being 20 years later and I may have lost all my teeth and probably can’t even bite into a doughnut, let alone find your note.
After receiving your invite, if you’re feeling exceedingly grateful, I won’t say no if you decide to dedicate a post to my fabulousness on your blog, stumble/digg/reddit/whatever any of my fabulous posts or just put my URL on any chalkboard. Alternatively, I won’t mind a whole year’s supply of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups (good lord, there’s even a fanlisting for this).
PS: If anyone wants to add me on Pownce, I’m Lis.

Hey! I have to find you on that new site. Jason (love him) graced me with an invitation!
I will be signing up this afternoon.
I feel all ‘red carpet’ VIP with the invite… and I didn’t even have to make a video or jump through anything!
See you over there!
Yay all my favourite people on Pownce!
Hmmmmm, can I accept one of your fancy invites????
;-)
Just when I started to finally memorize the 2o only english words I know, they go and make up a new one. Pownce? Sounded Polish to me.
(in whispered tones) btw, I’ve hidden my email in that bag of flour you mentioned. Now if only those blasted krispy kreme people will just pick it up …
Michael, sure, I’ll need your email address though.
Nick, if Krispy Kreme doesn’t, maybe Dunkin’ Donuts will…
michaelmwc@sbcglobal.net
Now personally I’m not a huge fan of Krispy Kreme’s (controversial I know) and as doughnuts in Oz tend to come with flies on them – oh no, hang on, that’s cupcakes that come with flies on them – either way they’re not very appealing so you’re just gonna have to give me one of your invites!
Did that work?? Don’t make me grovel … sniff … sniff.
OK I even created your own very special email address that you can send it on to:
thegreatinvitegiveaway@geedos.com
now how fabulous is that!?!
I’m keeping my fingers crossed!
Michael and Geedos, you’ve got mail!
Remind me never to buy any cupcakes (was it from Cole’s?) the next time I set foot in Australia.
Krispy Kremes are so good that you don’t even need teeth to enjoy them! Now I’m hungry…
Someone send me a box so I can partake in this foody delight?
Damn. Now I’m hungry. I’ll kill to have a Reese’s peanut butter cup now.
There’s nothing better than a Krispy Kreme and a Starbucks coffee.
Thanks! Now I’m going to have to go get one. You want me to send you one in the bag of flour with my e-mail address?
I had a doughnut (not from Coles!) at lunch and I’m currently sipping a Starbucks coffee! Haha – I’m living the dream!
What is a Reese’s peanut butter cup?? Mmm … food …
Donovan, how about a dozen? :D
Geedos, it’s a slice of heaven. Mmmmm…
A dozen it is. When Easter rolls around, I’ll also have to send you some of those Reese’s Peanut Butter eggs.
They have Reese’s Peanut Butter eggs? It’s almost next to impossible to find the cups in Singapore. I used to get my friends to bring them back from US. They usually end up a bit squashed but still delicious. :D
Check them out here.
The eggs are 10 times better than the wimpy cups. Oh, the peanut butter goodness.
Krispy Kreme and Peanut Butter cups…. just what the DR ordered for my PMS
Oh lordy Donovan, those look so good.
Mel, if it was me, I’ll top it off with some Haagen Dazs Chocolate Chocolate Chip ice-cream with Hershey’s chocolate syrup. Oh, must not forget Tim Tam Double Coat. Death by chocolate. Oh yeah.
I still have some invites left. Who else needs one?
Michael & Geedos, have you signed up already?
Yup – I’m in!
I love having that feeling of freshness where everything is new and you don’t really know what or how to do things – it’s all very exciting (yeah … I know I don’t get out much!).
I’ll take one if you still have some left. You can send it to: blogthatoutside AT gmail.com
Thanks a bunch!
Yay Geedos!
Donovan, you’ve got mail!
Thanks! You’re the best!

Its been almost a week.
I miss LIS’s snarkyness.

I’ve been updating! Just not in this blog… :P
It’s probably opened to the public by now. The last comment on this post is back in 2007. I hope to hear of how Pownce has been doing since it opened to the public.
