More people should realise that taking this attitude doesn't equate to a lack of respect. Rather, it demonstrates the ability to see things from the perspective of others, a trait that is promoted by the vast majority of religions. It's also beneficial for the non believer; they will be much more likely to listen to the reasons for somebody's religious faith if their opinion has been taken on board. All too often conversations about religion turn into one way preaching sessions during which neither party is able to achieve anything.
