I’ve been battling one of the worst colds I’ve had in years and it’s really not fun leaking stuff out of my nose. The coughing my lungs up and sneezing my brains out have put a damper on my blogging activity. I mean, I did try but every time I start a blog post, two seconds later, I’d be distracted by the two rivers of snot escaping from my nose and attempting to invade my pie hole.

I hope that hasn’t put you off your breakfast, lunch, dinner or whatever.

Right. Enough of the fun stuff. I came across this blog that’s fucking hilarious. The second I read that the blog “is a scientific approach to highlight and explain stuff white people like.” I knew I’ve struck comedy gold.

Haven’t done one of these in a while. I figured I should at least try to work sometimes instead of just pretending so I haven’t had much time for surfing lately. Anyway, I’ve this idea. If you’ve written something interesting/funny/bizarre/weird/self-incriminating/not boring etc. that you think I (and my 3.14 readers out there) might like, email the link with a short description to abouteverything[at]gmail(dot)com with “The Unusual Suspects” in the subject line. Please note I may or may not publish the link on my blog. That’s right, it’s subject to my whim and fancy, although I’ve been known to be not as discerning when I’ve had a drink or two. We’ll see how well this goes.

This site alone should be enough to keep you entertained for days. It’s none other than Humor Blogs, a directory of some of the funniest blogs out there. Just try not to laugh out loud too often if you’re pretending to work. Yep, been there, done that. Not a pretty sight.

Previously in Tag Memes and Viral Links, I asked for tips on how to pretend to be more productive at work and Greg delivered with Ten Ways to Appear More Productive in the Corporate Environment. Have already printed a copy and highlighted the ones most like to work for use in office.

I’ve always been a sucker for funny grammar mistakes and Susan posted some real gems in her post, Some Funny and Innocent Grammar Mistakes.

It’s posts like answers i wish i thought of… that make me wish I’m a teacher so I get to read gems like these all the time or I’m still a student so I can submit gems like these. Somehow, I don’t think the boss-man will appreciate the funny if I try pulling a stunt like this in my reports, but it may be worth trying… *rubs chin*

Geedos shows us why we love the British monarchy with his post on Classic Prince Philip Quotes. You know, economy class really isn’t that bad unless you’re stuck between a wailing baby and a snoring man with bad breath.

This one has been more than a year old but it’s a classic. It’s quite a read, so get comfortable. I bring you Orly the owl.

I bet many of you are still reading that Harry Potter book, eh? If you feel like taking a break from that kiddo Harry and his magic and stuff (hee!), check out the links below.

I’ve made some new friends in the blogosphere this past couple of weeks. First up, there’s Michael from The Wonderful World Of Nothing Worthwhile. Me and my homies were arguing about who would win in a smackdown between the Monty Pythons and the Power Rangers and Michael came to the rescue. While you’re there, you might as well get a beer and some snacks and make yourself comfortable. This guy is a freaking riot. You’ll be spending a long time there. ~~I will not mention his not-so-secret crush on Tina Fey.~~

Next, there’s Linda from Ugly Mailbox.com. The site is a treasure trove of… yup you guessed it… ugly mailboxes. Man, I’ve never seen so many in my life. Some of them were downright hideous!

Moving on. I can’t stop watching The Big-Eyed Man. For more lolz, remember to check out the link in the post for some Photoshop goodness.

In more “I can’t afford this shit, so I’ll knit one!” news, a girl knitted a full size Ferrari. Somebody wants to come knit me a life size Christian Bale?

Has it been a week already? Time flies when you’re having fun or you know, procrastinating instead of working your ass off trying to meet that impossible deadline (Boss, are you reading this? The impossible deadline part, not the procrastinating part). Anyhow, let’s get on with the programme. And the winners are…

Need to send a message to your neighbour? Meleah has discovered the perfect way to do it. I can’t believe I failed to mention this last week. Must have been too busy plotting to do the same on the neighbour (not the cute one, the annoying one with the loud music on the other side).

If you still need convincing that Google is run by a bunch of geeks, then you need to look at this. Thanks, Randy, it made my day too!

More on the iPhone front. If you can’t afford an iPhone, what do you do? That’s right, you knit one.

I don’t know about you, but I’ve often lain awake at night wondering just how much my dead body is worth. I’m aware that this makes me a freak. In any case, Geedos has the answer. I’m worth a measly $3800. What do they have against short people?

I’m sure John Chow is no stranger to many of you but if you’re like me and often prefer Weird Al’s parodies to the originals, you have to check out the mooliciously tasty John Cow (I’m sure no cows were harmed in the making). All the cool kids are doing it and since I’m so cool, I’m practically frozen, I’m jumping on the bandwagon. I waste so much time on the net I’m bound to come across lots of interesting stuff (YMMV, of course). What I’ll be doing is consolidating these links into a weekly post. What sort of links, you ask? Well, basically stuff that makes me laugh so hard I cough up a lung, or stuff so weird and bizarre the aliens won’t touch them with a 10-foot pole. Or just stuff that makes me want to spork both my eyes out and hide them under the pillow. Hey, sharing is caring, mmmkay? Alternatively, you could be up here because I think you’re cute. This applies to both boys and girls. Equal opportunities and all.

Also, by “weekly”, what I mean is it’ll depend on whether it’s a Good Week or a Bad Week. A Bad Week has been known to last up to 39 days. What this means is that if I’m having 2 Bad Weeks in a row, you’ll get 2 “weekly” posts in *whips out calculator* 78 days.
